We love our grass fed meat, but the ground meat is really lean. I like to add some extra fat to make our burgers more juicy. Olive oil adds a nice flavor, as does bacon fat. Mix that in with some other seasonings and you’ll find your burger got a big taste bump. If you’re looking for some inspiration for spices try za’atar. It’s a Middle Eastern spice blend that goes really well with ground beef, we like the Syrian version with lots of sumac. Top it off with some onions caramelized in some salt and a little bit of homemade red vinegar (you’ve got that going right?) and you’re a happy camper.
